The Christmas holidays have started. It is dark and really cold. Almost all the White Magicians have vanished and Mira has not heard anything from her friends for a long time. But suddenly Black Magicians come to Mira's home and she has to flee as soon as possible. At the same time, Mira discovers, that the Black Witch has kidnapped her friends and it is now her responsibility to fight the witch and rescue the White Magicians. On a hot day in July the young magician Rabeus and Miranda meet again and Rabeus tells Miranda about the desperate situation that the white magicians are in. Many of them have vanished without a trace and some of them have switched to the dark side of magic. Thaddäus Eckling, a famous magician, who is considered to be the last hope of the wizarding community, has a mission for the two of them: They have to look for the ball that Mira found in Hippolyt´s garden which allows you to see through time. Rabeus and Miranda decide they need the help of Mira because 'Only the one, who has once looked into the ball, can retrieve them.'
